Kia ora and welcome to my website. I’m a Clinical Psychologist with 10 years' experience working both in public community mental health (in New Zealand and the UK) as well as in private practice. I hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Auckland, as well as a Masters in Sociology.
Along the way, I’ve had the chance to work with a diverse range of people, seeking help for many different challenges. These include people that were looking to ways to better cope with low mood, anxiety, anger, psychosis or stress and the unhelpful thoughts and behaviour that are associated with these troubles, people going through challenging life transitions in their relationships or at work, and people who are looking to find more meaning and purpose, and/or a stronger sense of identity and self.
Whatever the challenge, my aim as a psychologist is to walk alongside my clients in order to create a safe, warm and collaborative space where people feel heard, have space to think and reflect, and feel more equipped with psychological tools in their kete to deal with whatever it is that brings them to therapy.
Hi I’m Celine
I’m a psychologist that is really passionate about the work that I do. I think that it is a privilege to be able to walk alongside people when they are in a time in their life when things feel particularly hard, they have big questions about who they are, or are trying to find meaning and purpose in their life. I believe that good therapy happens in the context of a trusting relationship and that this is where my strength lies- I am warm, level-headed, empathetic, and non-judgemental, and strive to work collaboratively, flexibly, and creatively with my clients. I want people to walk out of my sessions feeling heard, supported and knowing that they have a plan to deal with their challenges. My hope is that in meeting together, clients will also gain greater clarity about what is truly important and meaningful to them, and a better understanding of things that might be keeping them feeling stuck.
I am committed to evidence-based practice and have expertise in a range of therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Schema Therapy.

I am trained primarily in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (including mindfulness informed CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, in addition to gaining expertise in Trauma-informed therapy. I also frequently draw on family systems theory, developmental theory, attachment theory, and other relevant psychological models to inform assessment and treatment. I find my background in sociology is really helpful in seeing the bigger picture, and how individual problems can be best understood within a wider context. I work collaboratively with people to help them reach their goals and aim to be flexible in my approach.
I am committed to practicing in accordance to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi, and believe that there is an imperative for clinicians working in Aotearoa to be culturally responsive and work in a non-discriminatory manner.
